Bank on the go—with extra peace of mind.
As part of the nationwide Co-Op Shared Branch network, Finex Credit Union members can access their accounts at thousands of partner credit union locations. Now, with IDCheck launching on June 16, 2025, your Shared Branch experience will include an extra layer of protection—without slowing you down.

What Is IDCheck?

IDCheck is a fast, digital way to confirm your identity at Shared Branch locations. Here’s how it works:

  1. Visit any participating Shared Branch location

  2. Scan the QR code at the Interactive Teller Machine with your smartphone

  3. Upload a quick selfie and scan your valid photo ID

  4. Receive a secure 6-digit code to show the teller

That’s it! You’re verified and ready to complete your transaction.

When Will I Need It?

IDCheck will be required in specific situations, including:

  • Cash withdrawals over $200

  • Using a non-local or out-of-state ID

  • Visiting a Shared Branch that’s not Finex

To speed up your visit, always bring your smartphone and a valid ID.

Why It Matters

This update helps keep your account secure while maintaining the convenience you expect:

  • Stronger identity protection

  • Quicker repeat visits (your device is remembered)

  • A seamless process at locations across the country

FAQs

Q: What if I don’t have a smartphone?
IDCheck requires a smart device to complete the process.

Q: Is my personal information safe?
Only the minimum data is collected and securely stored by industry-leading providers.

Q: Will I need to do this every time?
Your device will be recognized, so future visits will be even faster.

Important Note

IDCheck is only used at Shared Branching locations outside of Finex.
If you're visiting a Finex Credit Union branch, there's no need for IDCheck—you’ll continue to receive the same personalized, secure service you’re used to.
